Sunstead Energy Ltd ("Sunstead", "we", "us") is the data controller for personal data collected via this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
When you request a free roof check we collect: your postcode, property type, roof direction, monthly electricity bill, name, email, phone number, and your consent to be contacted. We do not collect any special category data.
Lawful basis
We process your data on the lawful basis of consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR) which you provide by ticking the consent box on the roof-check form. You may withdraw consent at any time.
How we use it
Solely to prepare and deliver your free desktop roof survey, follow up with your quote, and — if you become a customer — administer your install and MCS/SEG registrations.
How long we keep it
Enquiry data: 12 months from your last interaction. Customer install records: 7 years from install completion to satisfy warranty and HMRC obligations.
Who we share it with
Approved subprocessors used to run our business (email delivery, CRM, cloud hosting) under UK/EU-adequate data processing agreements. We never sell your data.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to processing. Email privacy@sunstead.example. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
Unsubscribing
Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Clicking it removes you from all Sunstead marketing communications within 24 hours.
